Meet David & Nicola Glasson
Back in 2007 we set up our own town planning and development practice in Bristol. We advise a variety of private, corporate and landowning clients on a wide range of rural and urban development projects throughout England and Wales. In consequence we have fostered connections with many local authorities in and around Bristol, South Wales and South West
David is a Chartered Town Planner and Fellow of the British Institute of Agricultural Consultants with over 30 years experience of town and country planning and local government in the public and private sector at all levels of the system.
David has been a member of the RTPI (Royal Town Planning Institute) since 1989 (RTPI registered consultants are all subject to the RTPI’s professional code of conduct). He has held senior planning positions in local/central government, private planning consultancy and as senior planning advisor to the National Farmers' Union at their London HQ was responsible for high-level negotiations with the Government. A one time member of the London Food Board David helped the then Mayor of London Ken Livingstone develop and launch a food strategy for the capital in 2005 to ensure all Londoners have easy access to healthy and affordable food.
David has extensive knowledge of bringing forward projects in the countryside and handled the planning application for an innovative “on farm” classroom project in Somerset giving children a “field to fork” experience of farming, cooking and healthy eating the practice was nominated a finalist in the 2018 RTPI Awards for Excellence which are the longest running and most high-profile awards in the industry.
In 2024 we relocated the practice to St Ives in Cornwall where we continue to provide planning consultancy.
